There are a lot of graphic organizers available online, and essentially they all do the same thing. What I like about Piktochart is it provides a unique way for students to demonstrate their literacy skills in a graphically friendly fashion. It’s obvious use for students struggling with literacy is self-evident. Not so evident is the potential for students to use thisPiktoshart as a way of consolidating their information, and to provide information in a graphic format into essays.

From accessing free audio books in my previous post to this page from the same website HONGKIAT.com offers links to 20 free eBOOK download sites. From my experience, when students use eBooks they do not forget their book since it is part of their smart device. Also, unlike books in print ebooks will not get physically damaged. On the opposite side of the discussion, students can occasionally be surfing the web instead of reading.

I am always looking for resources, particularly free resources to access in support of student learning. I came across this website from a posting by Petra Pollum on the website Scoopit. Scoopit another social media websites where you can search for teaching resources.  If you do have the time, it may be worth your while to become a member.

I am going to try using this during my second semester teaching English. In particular, I see it being very useful for peer editing among several other uses to teach English.
