This is an interesting site, where David Preston emphasizes the importance of using visuals in the classroom. Not that we forget, however, it is a refreshing reminder and demonstration about how he leverages technology and other tools to engage students.

While researching ways to engage my students to write, I came across We Book. It is a collaborative writing  website that enables individuals, groups and classes etc. to collaborate in the writing process. For the ambitious it appears it provides a form to become recognized, and if  very fortunate, to be published.

Please be aware that I  have not used this  website, but see its potential. I will be evaluating its usefulness with my classes – I believe that technology must accentuate the learning (writing) process and be in the service of its users not the opposite.
